About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Traffic Control / TMA Driver to support our District-Wide Signing Operations throughout the Atlanta Metro area. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safe work zones on interstates and state routes during highway sign installation projects.
You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining single-lane and double-lane closures in accordance with traffic control plans. A key part of your day involves operating attenuator (crash) trucks to protect crews working on active roadways, alongside performing essential traffic control duties such as cone placement, signage setup, and lane shifts.
In addition to driving and operating company vehicles safely in high-traffic environments, you will assist the highway sign crew with the installation and maintenance of roadway signage as needed. Ensuring all work zones meet DOT safety standards and regulations is a top priority, requiring effective communication with crew members to maintain safe and efficient operations. This role also includes conducting daily vehicle inspections and basic equipment checks, as well as responding to emergency and after-hours work as required.
