About the Role
Dentons US LLP is seeking a proactive Threat Analyst to join our Information Security team. In this role, you will serve as a critical defender, responsible for actively hunting for threats within client environments rather than waiting for alerts to trigger. You will develop and tune SIEM use cases, conduct in-depth investigations of security events, and operationalize threat intelligence to stay ahead of the evolving cyber threat landscape.
The position involves engineering automation and SOAR playbooks to streamline detection and response workflows. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to enhance security operations, participate in incident response exercises, and maintain comprehensive documentation of all threat hunting activities. This role is designed for an analytical professional who thrives on identifying undetected threats and continuously adapting strategies to mitigate risk.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- verifiedMinimum 2 years of experience in Cyber Intelligence or Threat Hunter
- verifiedDirect experience with SIEM, vulnerability scanners, anti-virus, and EDRs
- verifiedKnowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, kill chain, hypothesis-driven methods, and IOC lifecycle management
- verifiedExperience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic)
- verifiedExperience with SOAR platforms (e.g., Splunk SOAR, Microsoft Sentinel automation, Swimlane)
- verifiedExperience with advanced endpoint analytics and EDR tooling (e.g., CrowdStrike, Defender for Endpoint, Sophos)
- verified24x7 on-call availability for high severity incidents
- verifiedKnowledge of digital forensics, malware analysis, penetration testing, and ethical hacking
- verifiedProficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, shell) is a plus
- verifiedIndustry certifications (e.g., GIAC, Microsoft SC-200, Splunk Enterprise Security, AWS/Azure security certs) are a strong asset
