As a teacher in the School District of Philadelphia, you will plan and deliver instruction in your subject area, adhering to the established scope and sequence for all courses. Your role involves providing students with a variety of planned courses that emphasize real-life applications and simulations to help them analyze and interpret material. You will instruct students on the use of tools, materials, and technological innovations, including pertinent software, to develop solutions to learning problems. The position requires utilizing both formal and informal classroom and district assessments to ensure student progress.
You will foster a classroom environment where students have access to subject-related materials that address their specific needs and interests. By collaborating with staff members across disciplines, you will integrate subject-specific skills into the broader curriculum. This is a Philadelphia Federal Teacher Union (PFT) represented position. The salary range is currently $56,796 to $98,293, determined by the level of education and years of experience. The salary quoted in your offer letter is non-negotiable.
