About the Team
Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company, is seeking a Journeyman Systems Administrator to support the Core Avionics Engineering Division (CAED) within NAWCAD. This role is integral to the Avionics Engineering Department and Mission Systems Group labs, ensuring the secure and reliable operation of critical lab environments while maintaining Authorization to Operate (ATO) compliance.
About the Role
The Systems Administrator will play a key part in maintaining secure lab operations, supporting test environments, and ensuring adherence to DoD cybersecurity policies. You will manage infrastructure across physical and virtual environments, handling everything from system deployment and hardening to user support and network operations. This position is designed for a professional who thrives in a high-stakes environment where system integrity and security are paramount.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, onsite position located at Patuxent River NAS. The role requires an onsite presence for greater than or equal to 90% of the work week and is not eligible for recurring telework. Candidates must be prepared to work within the specific security and operational constraints of a naval air station.
Hiring Process
Candidates with an active Top Secret security clearance are required. The hiring process includes a review of qualifications, verification of US citizenship, and completion of necessary security investigations.
