About the Role

We are seeking a Structural Engineer, PE to join our growing team in Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; or Washington D.C. (Chantilly, VA). This role is designed for independent thinkers who are self-motivated and proactive in their communication. You will join a culture that values meaningful work supporting federal government clients across multiple sectors, where employees and clients alike look to you for results that exceed expectations.

As part of a project team, you will work on complex, high-impact federal and mission-critical facilities. The position offers a dynamic environment where you will collaborate with various disciplines to develop innovative, efficient solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleDevelop plans and details for foundations, buildings, and structures based on preliminary concepts
  • check_circleOversee the creation and management of structural models and project drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
  • check_circleApply knowledge of structural steel, concrete, masonry, and related drafting conventions
  • check_circleProduce drawings appropriate to SD, DD, and CD phases of the design process
  • check_circleManage RFIs and submittals during the construction phase and participate in conflict resolution
  • check_circleContribute to the development of cost estimates for structural projects
  • check_circleResearch domestic and international materials, products, and systems to support design decisions
  • check_circleConduct safe and accurate site surveys and develop existing conditions documentation

Requirements

  • verifiedBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis) from an ABET accredited university
  • verified5+ years of relevant structural engineering experience
  • verifiedProfessional Engineer (PE) license required
  • verifiedStructural Engineer (SE) license preferred
  • verifiedProficiency with AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit
  • verifiedAbility to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
  • verifiedU.S. Citizenship required

Nice to Have

Structural Engineer (SE) license. Experience with federal design projects and Whole Building Design Guide. Understanding of antiterrorism, force protection, hardening, and blast design. Experience supporting facilities for Federal Government clients sector.
