The Strategic Sourcing Specialist serves as the critical bridge between the bid phase and the purchasing phase, ensuring seamless material hand-offs that drive customer satisfaction and financial growth. In this role, you will be the point person for developing strategic supplier relationships, securing competitive material pricing, and optimizing lead times for new customer bids.
Your day-to-day involves analyzing spend data and market trends to shape strategic sourcing initiatives. You will partner closely with pricing and business development teams to evaluate bid responses and select the best sources of supply. Beyond analysis, you will actively negotiate strategic sourcing agreements, manage cost reduction initiatives to ensure favorable PPV, and lead quarterly business reviews with key suppliers. This position also requires coordinating NPI risk assessments and maintaining approved supplier lists, all while leveraging strong analytical and negotiation skills to solve complex sourcing challenges.
Candidates selected for this role will be expected to travel approximately 10% as business needs arise.
