The Strategic Communications Analyst will support the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and its subordinate commands, located aboard MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. As a key component of U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM), MARCENT directs executive-level management and command-and-control actions for mission execution. This role is integral to the Command Element, providing professional services that bridge the gap between operational realities and strategic communication objectives.
In this position, you will operate within a dynamic environment that requires a deep understanding of the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) and military operations. The role involves a blend of high-level analysis, media assessment, and visual storytelling. You will produce tailored analytical products, including daily and weekly open-source media summaries, Operational Update Products (OUP), and primers for exercises and Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) events. Your work will directly assist the Commander in communicating matters of high importance to the Commandant of the Marine Corps and the Combatant Commander.
The day-to-day involves capturing and editing photographic and video content to amplify communication objectives, managing the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service (DVIDS) platform, and collaborating closely with G3 operations. You will also be expected to deploy to partner nations to orchestrate COMMSTRAT activities, including exercises like Intrepid Maven and Key-Leader Engagements, often with less than 24 hours' notice to support forward-deployed forces.
