Store Clerk / Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is currently seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to support our retail operations. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $13 to $17, with potential earnings up to $21 per hour depending on location and experience. There are also opportunities for overtime pay, weekend shift differentials, holiday pay, and performance-based raises.

Key Responsibilities

As a Store Clerk, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep our stores running efficiently and welcoming for customers. Your duties include:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer their questions, and assist them with their purchases.
  • Transaction Processing: Operate cash registers, handle cash and card payments, and bag items for customers.
  • Merchandise Management: Stock shelves, organize racks and displays, and ensure the sales floor is clean and well-organized.
  • Donation Processing: Assist in accepting donations, sorting donated items, and tagging and pricing merchandise for the sales floor.
  • Store Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
  • Compliance: Follow all store procedures regarding handling donations, pricing merchandise, and operating the register.
