Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is central to maintaining an efficient, welcoming, and organized store environment where donated items find new life and customers receive excellent service.

Day in the Life

As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases. Your day involves a dynamic mix of tasks, including operating the cash register, handling transactions, and bagging items. You will also be responsible for keeping the sales floor attractive and organized by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging merchandise.

A significant part of the role involves processing donations. You will assist in accepting, sorting, and preparing donated items for the sales floor, ensuring that every contribution is handled with care. Throughout your shift, you will answer customer questions, maintain store cleanliness, and follow established procedures for pricing and handling merchandise.
