About the Role
Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to join our team and assist with essential retail store operations. This role is central to our mission, providing not only customer service and processing sales transactions but also supporting the broader goal of community empowerment through workforce development and environmental stewardship.
As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill for our customers. You will be responsible for greeting visitors, answering questions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your duties include operating the cash register, handling cash and card payments, and bagging items. Beyond the register, you will play a key role in maintaining the store's appearance and efficiency by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and keeping the sales floor clean and organized.
A significant part of this position involves processing donations. You will assist in accepting donations from the community, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. This includes tagging and pricing donated goods according to store procedures. By performing these tasks, you help ensure that high-quality merchandise is available for shoppers while supporting Goodwill's charitable objectives.
