Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations. This position is essential for maintaining a welcoming environment for customers and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, assisting customers with their purchases, answering questions, and contributing to the overall cleanliness and organization of the store.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a mix of customer service and operational tasks. You will operate the cash register, handle cash and card payments, and bag items for customers. Beyond the register, you will assist with stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays to ensure merchandise is easily accessible and visually appealing. A key part of the role involves processing donations; you will help accept, sort and prepare donated items for the sales floor by tagging and pricing them. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment throughout your shift.

Compensation

This position typically pays between $13 and $17 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay, weekend shifts, holiday pay, and performance-based raises depending on location and experience.
