About the Role
Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations. This position is essential for maintaining a welcoming environment for our customers while supporting the organization's mission through the efficient processing of donations and merchandise. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, assisting customers with their purchases and ensuring the store remains clean, organized, and ready for shoppers.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve a mix of customer service, transaction processing, and store maintenance. You will greet customers warmly, answer their questions, and assist them with their purchases. A key part of your responsibility is operating the cash register to handle cash and card payments accurately. You will also be responsible for bagging items and ensuring customers leave with a positive experience.
Beyond the register, you will contribute to the overall organization of the store. This includes stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items. You will assist in accepting and sorting donations, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, and helping maintain a clean and organized store environment. By following store procedures for handling donations and pricing, you help ensure that every item is ready for its next home.
