Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and customer service efforts. This position is essential for maintaining a welcoming, organized, and efficient store environment where donated items find new life. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, assisting customers with their purchases while ensuring the sales floor remains clean, stocked, and ready for shoppers.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a mix of customer interaction and operational tasks. You will greet customers warmly, answer their questions, and assist them with their purchases. A key part of your role involves processing sales transactions accurately using the cash register, handling both cash and card payments, and bagging items for customers.

Beyond the register, you will contribute to the overall organization of the store. This includes stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging and pricing donated merchandise. You may also assist in accepting donations from the community, sorting these items, and preparing them for the sales floor. Maintaining a clean and organized store environment is a shared responsibility, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for everyone.

We offer competitive pay ranging from $13 to $17 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay, weekend shifts, holiday pay, and performance-based raises depending on your location and experience.
