Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is central to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases while maintaining a welcoming and organized environment.

Day in the Life

In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks that keep our stores running efficiently. Your day will involve operating the cash register, processing both cash and card payments, as well as bagging items for customers. You will also be responsible for stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items to ensure they are ready for the sales floor.

A significant part of the role involves supporting our mission by accepting donations from the community. You will assist in sorting donated items and preparing merchandise for sale. Additionally, you will answer customer questions, help maintain store cleanliness and organization, and follow specific store procedures for handling donations and pricing merchandise.

We offer competitive pay ranging from $13 to $17 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay, weekend shifts, holiday pay, and performance-based raises depending on your location and experience.
