Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and customer service efforts. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of our stores, ensuring a welcoming environment for donors and shoppers, and processing sales transactions efficiently.

Day in the Life

As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases. Your day will involve a mix of front-of-house and back-of-house tasks. You will operate the cash register, handle cash and card payments, and bag items for customers. You will also answer questions and provide excellent service to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Beyond the register, you will help maintain the store's organization and cleanliness. This includes stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items. You may also assist with accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. Following store procedures for handling donations and pricing merchandise is a key part of your responsibilities.
