Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to join our team and assist with daily retail store operations. This role is central to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will play a vital part in maintaining an organized and welcoming environment for our customers while supporting the mission of Goodwill through the handling of donations and merchandise.

Day in the Life

In this position, you will be responsible for operating the cash register and accurately handling both cash and card payments. You will actively assist customers with their purchases, answer questions, and provide a positive shopping experience. Beyond the register, you will help maintain the store's appearance by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and ensuring the sales floor remains clean and organized.

A key aspect of this role involves processing donations. You will assist in accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. This includes tagging and pricing donated items according to store procedures. Employees must adhere to established store protocols for handling donations, pricing merchandise, and operating the register to ensure consistency and efficiency.
