Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and customer service efforts. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of our stores, ensuring a welcoming environment for donors and shoppers, and supporting our mission through efficient processing of sales and donations.

Day in the Life

As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases. Your day will involve operating the cash register, handling various payment methods, and bagging items for customers. You will also be responsible for keeping the sales floor organized by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging and pricing donated merchandise.

A significant part of the role involves supporting our donation intake process. You will assist in accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing them for the sales floor. Maintaining a clean and organized store environment is a key responsibility, ensuring that all areas, including the sales floor and donation intake areas, meet our standards for cleanliness and organization.
