Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is central to maintaining a welcoming environment for customers while supporting the organization's goal of processing donations and preparing merchandise for sale. The role combines customer service excellence with operational efficiency, ensuring that the store remains clean, organized, and ready for shoppers.

Day in the Life

As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases. Your day will involve processing sales transactions accurately using the cash register, handling both for cash and card payments, and bagging items for customers. Beyond the register, you will actively engage in maintaining the store's appearance and inventory. This includes stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and displays, and ensuring that merchandise is properly tagged and priced.

A significant part of the role involves supporting the donation process. You will assist in accepting donations from the community, sorting these items, and preparing them for the sales floor. This hands-on. You will also be responsible for answering customer questions and helping maintain a clean and organized store environment that is both efficient and pleasant for everyone who walks through the door. By following store procedures for handling donations and pricing, you contribute directly to the smooth operation of the retail location.
