Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to join our team and assist with essential retail store operations. This role is central to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will play a vital part in maintaining a welcoming and organized environment for our community.

Day in the Life

In this position, you will be responsible for operating the cash register and handling both cash and card payments with accuracy. You will actively assist customers with their purchases, answer their questions, and help them find what they need. Beyond the register, your day will involve stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and tagging and pricing donated items to prepare them for the sales floor.

You will also assist with accepting donations from the community, sorting these items, and preparing merchandise for display. Maintaining a clean and organized store is a key part of the role, ensuring that racks, displays, and the general store environment are presentable. Employees must follow established store procedures for handling donations, pricing merchandise, and operating the register to ensure consistency and efficiency.
