About the Role
Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations. This position is central to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases while maintaining a welcoming and organized store environment.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve a variety of engaging tasks that keep our stores running efficiently. You will operate the cash register, handle cash and card payments, and bag items for customers. Beyond the register, you will assist customers with questions, stock shelves, and organize racks and displays to ensure merchandise is easily accessible and visually appealing.
A significant part of your role involves supporting our mission of sustainability and community support. You will help accept donations, sort donated items, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor. This includes tagging and pricing donated items according to store procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store, following specific protocols for handling donations and pricing merchandise.
