Store Clerk / Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is currently seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to support daily retail operations. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you will interact with the community, manage merchandise, and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Key Responsibilities

As a Store Clerk, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks designed to maintain an organized and welcoming store environment. Your duties include:

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer their questions, and assist them with their purchases.

• Transaction Processing: Operate cash registers efficiently, handle cash and card payments, and bag items for customers.

• Merchandise Management: Stock shelves, organize racks and displays, and ensure the sales floor remains clean and well-organized.

• Donation Processing: Assist in accepting donations, sort donated items, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor.

• Pricing and Tagging: Tag and price donated items according to store procedures.

• Store Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.

• Compliance: Follow all store procedures regarding the handling of donations, pricing of merchandise, and operation of the register.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay

• Hourly Wage: The typical pay range for this position is $13 to $17 per hour. However, job postings may indicate a range of $14 to $21 per hour depending on the specific location and experience level.

• Additional Pay Opportunities: Eligibility for overtime pay, weekend shift differentials, and holiday pay.
