About the Role
Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to join our team and assist with daily retail store operations. This role is central to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will play a vital part in maintaining a welcoming and organized environment for our community.
Day in the Life
In this position, you will be responsible for operating the cash register, handling both the cash register and managing cash and card payments. Your day will involve actively assisting customers with their purchases, answering their questions, and providing a positive shopping experience. Beyond the register, you will help maintain the store's appearance by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and displaying racks, and tagging and pricing donated items.
A significant part of the role involves supporting Goodwill's mission through donation processing. You may assist with accepting donations from the public, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. You will also help maintain a clean and organized store, organized store environment. Employees must strictly follow store procedures for handling donations, pricing merchandise, and operating the register.
