About the Role
Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is central to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases in a welcoming and organized environment.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of customer interaction and store maintenance. You will operate the cash register, accurately handling both cash and card payments, and bagging items for customers. Beyond the register, you will assist shoppers with questions, stock shelves, and organize racks and displays to maintain an inviting shopping experience. A significant part of the role involves processing donations; you will accept, sort, tag, and price donated items, preparing them for the sales floor. You will also help maintain a clean and organized store, organized store environment, following specific procedures for handling donations and merchandise pricing.
