About the Role
Goodwill is seeking Store Clerks / Cashiers to assist with retail store operations, customer service, and processing sales transactions. This position is integral to maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for our community. Employees serve as the face of Goodwill, greeting customers, processing transactions, and ensuring merchandise is ready for sale.
Day in the Life
As a Store Clerk, you will handle a variety of tasks that keep the store running smoothly. Your day may include operating the cash register, handling cash and card payments, and bagging items for customers. You will also assist customers with questions and purchases, ensuring they have a positive shopping experience.
Beyond the register, you will play a key role in merchandise preparation. This involves tagging and pricing donated items, stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and sorting donations. You will help prepare merchandise for the sales floor and assist with accepting donations from the community. Maintaining store cleanliness and organization is a core part of the role, ensuring the space remains inviting for shoppers.
