Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations. This position is essential for maintaining a welcoming environment for customers and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, assisting customers with their purchases and contributing to the overall organization and cleanliness of the store.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a mix of customer service and operational tasks. You will greet customers, answer questions, and assist them with their shopping needs. A key part of your role involves operating the cash register to handle cash and card payments, as well as bagging items for customers.

Beyond the register, you will help maintain the store's appearance by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items. You may also assist with accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. Throughout your shift, you will follow store procedures for handling donations and operating the register, ensuring a clean and organized environment for both staff and shoppers.
