Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is designed for individuals who enjoy providing excellent customer service while contributing to a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. As a key member of our team, you will assist with daily retail activities, process sales transactions, and help manage the flow of donated goods from intake to the sales floor.

Day in the Life

In this role, you will be the face of Goodwill for many customers. Your day will involve greeting visitors, answering questions about products, and assisting them with their purchases. You will operate the cash register, handling both cash and card payments efficiently and accurately. Beyond the register, you will help maintain the store's appearance by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and ensuring merchandise is properly tagged and priced.

A significant part of the role involves supporting our donation process. You may assist in accepting donations from the community, sorting items, and preparing them for sale. This hands-on work ensures that donated goods are ready to find new homes, directly supporting Goodwill’s mission. You will also help maintain store cleanliness and organization, following specific procedures for handling donations and operating equipment.

We offer competitive pay ranging from $13 to $17 per hour, with opportunities for overtime, weekend shifts, and holiday pay.
