Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to join our team and assist with essential retail store operations. This role is central to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will play a vital part in maintaining the efficiency and organization of our retail environment while supporting our mission through the handling of donations and merchandise.

Day in the Life

In this position, you will be responsible for operating the cash register and handling both cash and card payments with accuracy. You will actively assist customers with their purchases, answer their questions, and ensure they have a positive shopping experience. Your duties will also include stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and racks and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items to prepare them for the sales floor.

Additionally, you will help maintain a clean and organized store environment. This may involve accepting donations from the public, sorting donated items, and assisting customers with questions, and ensuring that all store procedures for handling donations and pricing are followed. You will work closely with your team to keep the store running smoothly and efficiently.
