Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to join our team and assist with essential retail store operations. This role is central to our mission, providing not only customer service and processing sales transactions but also supporting the broader goal of community support through the handling of donations. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment for all visitors.

Day in the Life

In this position, you will be actively engaged in various aspects of store management and customer interaction. Your day will involve operating the cash register, handling both cash and card payments, and assisting customers with their purchases. You will answer questions, stock shelves, and organize merchandise to ensure the sales floor is attractive and accessible. Additionally, you will play a key role in the donation process by accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor through tagging and pricing.

Maintaining a clean and organized store is a priority, and you will help ensure that racks, displays, and general areas are tidy and well-stocked. You will follow established store procedures for handling donations, pricing merchandise, and operating the register to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
