About the Role
Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is central to maintaining an efficient, welcoming, and organized store environment where customers can find quality goods and where donated items are processed with care.
As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, providing exceptional customer service while managing the day-to-day flow of the sales floor. You will assist customers with their purchases, answer questions, and ensure that the store remains clean, organized, and inviting. Your work directly supports the broader mission of Goodwill by helping to process donations and prepare merchandise for resale, contributing to community funding and sustainability.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve a mix of customer interaction, transaction processing, and store maintenance. You will operate the cash register, handling both cash and card payments, and bagging items for customers. Beyond the register, you will actively engage with the merchandise by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items.
You will also assist in the back-of-house or donation intake areas by sorting donated items and preparing them for the sales floor. Maintaining a clean and organized store is a key part of the role, ensuring that the shopping experience is pleasant for everyone.
