About the Role
Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is designed for individuals who enjoy providing excellent customer service while contributing to a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. As a key member of our team, you will assist with daily retail functions, process sales transactions, and help manage the flow of donated goods from intake to the sales floor.
Day in the Life
In this role, you will be the face of Goodwill for many of our customers. Your day will involve greeting visitors, answering questions about products, and assisting them with their purchases. You will operate the cash register, handling both cash and card payments with accuracy and care. Beyond the register, you will actively engage in maintaining store presentation by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items. You may also assist in accepting and sorting donations, ensuring that merchandise is prepared effectively for the sales floor. Throughout your shift, you will help maintain a clean and organized store, following established procedures for handling donations and operating equipment.

Compensation
This position typically pays between $13 and $17 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $21 per hour depending on location and experience. The role offers opportunities for overtime pay, weekend shifts, and holiday pay, providing flexibility and additional earning potential for eligible employees. Performance-based raises are also available based on individual contributions and tenure.
