Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is central to maintaining an efficient, welcoming, and organized store environment where donated goods are transformed into resources for those in need. The Store Clerk serves as the face of Goodwill, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and that merchandise is presented attractively for shoppers.

Day in the Life

As a Store Clerk, your day involves a dynamic mix of customer service, transaction processing, and store maintenance. You will be responsible for greeting customers warmly, answering their questions, and assisting them with their purchases. A key part of your role involves operating the cash register to handle cash and card payments accurately and efficiently.

Beyond the register, you will contribute to the visual appeal and organization of the sales floor. This includes stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items. You will also assist in the back-of-house operations by accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. Maintaining a clean and organized store environment is essential to providing a pleasant shopping experience for our community.
