Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and customer service initiatives. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of our stores, ensuring a welcoming environment for shoppers, and supporting our mission through the processing of donations and merchandise.

Day in the Life

As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases. Your day will involve operating cash registers, handling various payment methods, and bagging items with care. You will also be responsible for keeping the store organized and visually appealing by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items.

A significant part of your role involves supporting our sustainability mission by accepting and sorting donated items, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. You will follow established procedures for handling donations, pricing merchandise, and operating the register to ensure quality and accuracy.
