Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to join our team and assist with essential retail store operations. This role is central to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will play a vital part in maintaining the efficiency and organization of our retail environment, directly supporting our mission to provide community services through employment and training.

Day in the Life

In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep our stores running effectively. Your day will involve operating the cash register, handling both efficiently and accurately, processing cash and card payments, and bagging items for customers. You will also assist customers with their purchases, answer questions, and provide a welcoming experience for all visitors.

Beyond the register, you will contribute to store organization by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and merchandise, and tagging and pricing donated items. You may also assist with accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. Maintaining a clean and organized store is a key part of the role, ensuring a pleasant shopping environment for our community.
