Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is central to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions and the efficient handling of donated goods. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers, assisting with purchases, and maintaining a welcoming, organized, and clean store environment.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a dynamic mix of customer interaction and operational tasks. You will operate the cash register, accurately handling cash and card payments, and payments. Beyond the register, you will assist customers with questions, bag items, and help maintain the visual appeal of the sales floor by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and displays, and tagging merchandise. A significant part of the role involves supporting our circular economy mission by accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. You will also ensure the store remains clean and organized, following specific procedures for handling donations and pricing merchandise.

Compensation

This position typically pays $13 to $17 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay, weekend shifts, holiday pay, and performance-based raises depending on location and experience.
