Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and customer service initiatives. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of our stores, ensuring a welcoming environment for donors and shoppers, and processing sales transactions efficiently.

Day in the Life

As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases. Your day will involve a mix of front-of-house and back-of-house tasks, including operating the cash register, handling payments, and bagging items. You will also be responsible for keeping the store organized and visually appealing by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging merchandise.

A key part of our mission involves processing donations. You will assist in accepting, sorting, and preparing donated items for the sales floor, ensuring that every contribution is handled with care and efficiency. Additionally, you will help maintain a clean and organized store environment, answering customer questions and providing excellent service throughout your shift.
