About the Role
Goodwill is seeking Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and customer service efforts. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of our stores, ensuring that donated items are processed efficiently, and providing a welcoming experience for every visitor.
As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases. You will be responsible for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling both cash and card payments. Beyond the register, you will help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging and pricing donated merchandise.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve a mix of customer interaction and operational tasks. You will assist customers with questions, bag items, and help them find what they need. You will also be involved in the donation process, helping to accept donations, sort items, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor. Attention to detail is key as you follow store procedures for handling donations and pricing items. Whether you are operating the cash register or organizing the sales floor, your work helps keep our stores running and supports our mission.
