Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to join our team and assist with essential retail store operations. This role is central to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will play a vital part in maintaining the welcoming and organized environment that defines the Goodwill shopping experience.

Day in the Life

In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep our stores running efficiently. Your day may include operating the cash register, handling both cash and card payments, and assisting customers with their purchases. You will also answer customer questions, stock shelves, and organize merchandise to ensure the sales floor is attractive and easy to navigate.

A key aspect of the role involves processing donations. You will assist with accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. This includes tagging and pricing donated items according to store procedures. Additionally, you will help maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring that racks, displays, and common areas are tidy and presentable.
