About the Role
Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to join our team and assist with essential retail store operations. This role is central to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will play a vital part in maintaining a welcoming and organized environment for our community.
Day in the Life
In this position, you will be responsible for operating the cash register, handling both the front and back of the store. Your day-to-day activities will include greeting customers, processing transactions, and bagging items, and answering questions to enhance the shopping experience. You will also be involved in stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and displays, and tagging merchandise to ensure accurate pricing.
A significant part of the role involves supporting Goodwill’s mission through donation processing. You will assist with accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. Additionally, you will help maintain store cleanliness and organization, and organization by following established procedures for handling donations and operating the register.
