About the Role
Goodwill is seeking Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and customer service efforts. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of our stores, ensuring a welcoming environment for donors and shoppers, and processing sales transactions efficiently.
Day in the Life
As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases. Your day will involve a mix of front-of-house and back-of-house tasks, including operating the cash register, handling cash and card payments, and bagging items. You will also be responsible for stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items to prepare them for the sales floor.
A significant part of the role involves supporting our mission by accepting donations, sorting donated items, and helping maintain a clean and organized store environment. You will follow established store procedures for handling donations, pricing merchandise, and operating the register, ensuring that every interaction reflects Goodwill's commitment to quality and service.
