Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations. This position is central to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases while maintaining a welcoming and organized store environment.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a mix of customer interaction and operational tasks. You will operate the cash register, handling both cash and card payments with accuracy. Beyond the register, you will assist customers with questions, bag items, and help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor. This includes stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging merchandise.

A significant part of the role involves supporting Goodwill’s mission through donation processing. You will assist with accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. This includes tagging and pricing donated items according to store procedures. By keeping the store clean and organized, you help create a positive shopping experience for our community.
