Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and customer service efforts. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of our stores, ensuring a welcoming environment for donors and shoppers alike. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, assisting customers with their purchases and contributing to the overall organization and cleanliness of the store.

Day in the Life

In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks that keep our stores running efficiently. Your day may include operating the cash register, processing sales transactions, and handling payments. You will assist customers by answering questions, bagging items, and providing a positive shopping experience. Additionally, you will help maintain the store's appearance by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and ensuring merchandise is properly tagged and priced. A significant part of the role involves supporting our mission by accepting, sorting, and preparing donated items for the sales floor. You will also help maintain a clean and organized environment, following specific procedures for handling donations and merchandise.
