Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and customer service efforts. This position is essential for maintaining a welcoming, organized, and efficient store environment where donated items are transformed into affordable goods for the community.

Day in the Life

As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases. Your day will involve operating the cash register, handling various payment methods, and bagging items for customers. Beyond the register, you will keep the sales floor looking its best by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging and pricing donated merchandise.

You will also assist in the back-of-house operations by accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. Maintaining a clean and organized store is a key part of the role, ensuring that both customers and donations are handled with care. You will follow established store procedures for handling donations, pricing merchandise, and operating the register to ensure consistency and accuracy.
