Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations. This position is essential for maintaining a welcoming environment for customers and ensuring the smooth processing of sales transactions. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, assisting customers with their purchases and helping to maintain the organization and cleanliness of the store.

Day in the Life

In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks that keep our stores running efficiently. Your day will involve operating the cash register, handling cash and card payments, and bagging items for customers. You will also assist shoppers by answering questions and providing customer service. Beyond the register, you will be involved in stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging merchandise. A key part of the role includes accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. You will be expected to follow store procedures for handling donations, pricing merchandise, and operating the register while helping maintain a clean and organized store environment.
