About the Role
Goodwill is currently seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to support daily retail operations. In this position, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and managing sales transactions. The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining an organized, clean, and welcoming store environment while assisting with the processing of donated goods.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service and Sales
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
- Answer customer questions regarding products and store services.
- Operate cash registers efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash and card payments securely.
- Bag purchased items for customers.
Merchandise and Store Maintenance
- Stock shelves and organize racks and displays to ensure a tidy shopping experience.
- Tag and price merchandise appropriately.
- Maintain overall store cleanliness and organization.
Donation Processing
- Assist in accepting donations from the public.
- Sort donated items to determine their usability and value.
- Prepare sorted merchandise for placement on the sales floor.
- Adhere strictly to store procedures for handling donations and pricing items.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Structure
- Hourly Wage: Typically ranges from $13 to $17 per hour, with the job posting highlighting a range of $14 to $21 per hour.
- Additional Pay Opportunities: Eligibility for overtime pay, weekend shift differentials, and holiday pay.
