Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is central to maintaining an efficient, welcoming, and organized store environment where donated goods are transformed into affordable merchandise for our customers.

As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, providing exceptional customer service while managing the day-to-day flow of the sales floor. Your work directly supports the organization's goal of providing job training and employment services to people with barriers to employment. You will assist customers with their purchases, answer questions, and ensure that the store remains clean, organized, and inviting.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a mix of customer interaction and operational tasks. You will operate the cash register, accurately processing cash and card payments, and bagging items for customers. Beyond the register, you will be actively involved in the lifecycle of donated goods: accepting donations, sorting items, tagging and pricing merchandise, and stocking shelves. You will also help maintain the visual appeal of the store by organizing racks and displays, ensuring that customers have a pleasant shopping experience.
