About the Role
Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is essential for maintaining a welcoming environment for customers while supporting the processing of donations that fund local workforce development and community services.
As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, assisting customers with their purchases and ensuring the sales floor remains organized and inviting. You will handle sales transactions, manage cash and card payments, and answer customer questions with professionalism and care. Beyond the register, you will contribute to the operational flow of the store by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and tagging and pricing donated items.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve a mix of customer interaction and hands-on store maintenance. You will greet customers warmly, process their transactions efficiently, and help bag items. You will also spend time on the floor organizing racks and displays, ensuring merchandise is presented attractively. Additionally, you may assist in the donation processing area, helping to sort donated items and prepare them for the sales floor. Maintaining a clean and organized store environment is a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for everyone.
