Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and community mission. This position is essential for maintaining a welcoming, organized, and efficient store environment where donated items find new life. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, assisting customers with their purchases while ensuring the sales floor remains clean and well-stocked.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve a mix of customer service, transaction processing, and merchandise management. You will greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist them with their purchases. A key part of your responsibility is operating the cash register to handle cash and card payments accurately and efficiently. You will also be responsible for bagging items and ensuring a positive checkout experience.

Beyond the register, you will contribute to the overall organization of the store. This includes stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items. You may also assist in accepting donations, sorting through donated goods, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. Maintaining a clean and organized store environment is a shared responsibility, ensuring that both customers and employees enjoy a pleasant workspace.
