About the Role
Goodwill is seeking Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and customer service efforts. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of our stores, ensuring a welcoming environment for donors and shoppers, and processing sales transactions efficiently.
Day in the Life
As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases. Your day will involve a mix of front-of-house and back-of-house tasks, including operating the cash register, handling cash and card payments, and bagging items. You will also be responsible for stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
A significant part of the role involves processing donations. You will assist in accepting donations, sorting donated items, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. This includes tagging and pricing items according to store procedures. You will answer customer questions and help maintain the overall organization and cleanliness of the store.
