About the Role
Goodwill is seeking dedicated Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and customer service efforts. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of our stores, ensuring a welcoming environment for donors and shoppers, and processing sales transactions efficiently. As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, assisting customers with their purchases, answering questions, and helping to keep the store clean, organized, and ready for visitors.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve a mix of customer interaction and operational tasks. You will greet customers warmly, process sales transactions using the cash register, and handle various payment methods. Beyond the register, you will assist shoppers with their purchases, bag items, and answer questions about products. You will also contribute to store organization by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and displays, and tagging and pricing donated items. Additionally, you may assist with accepting and sorting donations, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, and maintaining overall store cleanliness and organization.
