Store Clerk/Cashier

About the Role

Goodwill is seeking Store Clerks and Cashiers to play a vital role in our retail operations and customer service efforts. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of our stores, ensuring a welcoming environment for donors and shoppers, and processing sales transactions efficiently.

Day in the Life

As a Store Clerk, you will be the face of Goodwill, greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases. Your day will involve operating the cash register, handling various payment methods, and bagging items. You will also be responsible for keeping the store organized and visually appealing by stocking shelves, organizing racks and displays, and tagging merchandise.

A significant part of the role involves processing donations. You will assist in accepting donations from the community, sorting donated items, and preparing them for the sales floor. This includes tagging and pricing items according to store procedures. Throughout your shift, you will answer customer questions and help maintain a clean and organized store environment.
